This waterfall, near the village of Arthur’s Pass, is high in the Southern Alps of New Zealand’s South Island. Mrs T and I were lucky enough to stay overnight in this village in December 2012, and to have time to walk up to the waterfall base and back. What really struck us was how different the foliage was on the trees from what we are used to back home in the UK. This photograph brings out the leaves on the trees, with the waterfall in the background.
